lovely scent and deliciously refreshing to bathe with
This soap has a citrusy and flowery scent with the lime and lavender, it makes a lovely combination and smells great. It feels great on the skin too. It doesn't seem to do anything amazing, it acts as an average soap bar, it cleanses excess oils, dry skin and left my skin feeling light and moisturised. It didn't dry my skin out or irritate it.The packaging is aesthetic and minimal and it would make a great gift too.
these soaps look and smell divine! They leave you feeling really clean but not dry like a lot of soaps make you feel. I will be purchasing more of these for sure.
My order arrived quickly, carefully packed, and lots of lovely looking sample creams.
Scottish soap collection... beautiful packaging and gorgeous soaps.
This is a lovely soap - it smells very nice indeed. It arrives in nice, simple cardboard packaging - no additional unnecessary plastic, so thumbs up.There are small bits of lavender in the bar for that expensive feel.It feels nice on my skin and leaves it soft, and not dry.I like that it is UK made (not so many air miles). The only reason for not giving this 5 stars is the bag they say is included was missing. I used a ceramic soap tray and the bar gets soft from sitting on the base, so the bag would have been useful. Either they need to include this, or be clear that it is no longer part of the purchase, as it reflects on the price.(as of mid Nov 2024)
I'm loving this soap. We put it in our bathroom and it's got a great scent to it. It really is long lasting as well, It is my skin nice and soft as wellIt's a great size and I'll be getting more in the future
The overall appearance of the soap is a little rustic, but I think that's reasonable given that it's handmade to traditional methods and boasts NO artificial colours. It's yellowish-green, and looks a bit like a lump of stale cheddar, but fortunately smells much nicer. The combination of lavender and lime is unusual, and I'm not sure I've ever had that pairing before. It works though. I'd rate it as a unisex fragrance. I think the lime is more prominent than the lavender, which is good, as I prefer it. I think it's slightly more suitable for summer than for the onset of winter, but as it's just a soap, it won't be quite as seasonal as a perfume. The soap produces a rich and creamy lather, which rinses easily, leaving no greasy residue.I think it's nice, and would make a nice stocking-filler gift. Being produced in Scotland in the UK is an added bonus.
This review is for Lavender & Lime Soap, Cold Process natural face bar soap, With Premium Essential Oils, All Skin, Collaboration with RBGE, DIANA DRUMMOND, Scottish handmade soap, With seaweed extracts.I received this to review as part of the Amazon vine program.I like this soap – it lathers nicely and smells good. I have sensitive skin and haven’t experienced any irritation with this. The video in the listing says that all of these soaps come with a drawstring bag to store the soap in – my soap didn’t include this. I think the price is on the high side for soap however it is a nice product.
I have skincare products and perfume from this brand but hadn't tried their soaps before. I'm really pleased that the soap is as good quality and pleasant to use as the other products I've tried.I absolutely love lime as a fragrance but I don't often find skin and bodycare products containing it. This soap combines a lovely zingy lime scent, which is uplifting and invigorating, with a subtle calming lavender fragrance for a really amazing smell. I could smell it as soon as I opened the package but it's not overpowering, just really natural and mood boosting. I use this soap in the morning and then swap to their Rose and Lavender one later in the day to reflect when I want to feel invigorated and when I want to feel relaxed. The bar has a high quality artisan feel to it so it looks not only handmade, but well made. I like that even though this independent brand is now able to scale up production to be able to sell on Amazon, there is no sacrifice to quality. If you haven't used handmade natural soap before the bar will seem harder and firmer than many mass produced soaps but this means it lasts quite a bit longer. Whether using for washing hands, or the body, when you work it in your hands under a tap or shower, or in a basin, you get a lovely light bubbly lather which feels gentle and moisturising on the skin. The soap contains nourishing olive, coconut and castor seed oils, Shea butter and beeswax (which means it's not vegan) and essential oils. I like that the scent lingers nicely for a while.Scottish Botanicals are independently owned and make their soaps in Edinburgh and it's great that I can combine supporting an independent business with the convenience of Amazon. The soap is great for both your own use or for buying as a gift.
This is lovely soap from Scottish Botanicals. It has a pleasant fresh lavender and lime scent, especially when being used. It lathers up well and doesn't leave my skin feeling overly dry after use.The soap is definitely on the pricier side, but it is clearly good quality soap and made in the UK.The soap is nicely presented in a branded box with an attractive design and matte finish. However, there is a barcode sticker on the back that cannot be removed without damaging the box (it isn't an easy-peel label) so I don't think this is ideal for gifting. The listing video mentions that the soap comes with a bag. I did not receive this. Personally, I am glad as I would not use it, but worth being aware of before ordering in case it is something that you want.
