Fabulous hydration that lasts

Diana Drummond kindly gifted me this beautiful 7 Miracle Blend SKIN CORE SERUM from their Scottish Botanicals range.

This botanical serum combines seven potent natural plant extracts, selected for their unique skin-loving properties.
When you pump out this Serum you are instantly hit with the essence of these heavenly floral extracts: it’s like a walk in the Scottish highlands, with heathers, wild roses, chamomile flowers blowing in the wind!
With Damask Rose flower water at the heart of the blend, (which we all know is the Queen of skincare essences) this feels like the ultimate skincare treat.

The texture is super emollient, rich and creamy (think hydrid creamy gloopy gel with a serum like spread):
Absorbs effortlessly and leaves skin with an instant bouncy youthful glow and unrelenting hydration that lasts for hours!

Designed with dryer skin types in mind, this was surprisingly adaptive to my combination skin and left my face with a light dewiness that certainly makes fine lines and wrinkles look less noticeable.
Full of natural ingredients, absolutely no irritation or breakouts after using this, thanks to its natural formula and pure essences.

I love that this formula is also Vegan & Cruelty Free, something I seek out in skincare and lifestyle

Hydrating and nourishing for tired skin

I have oily-combination skin and I like to try to use natural products where possible. My skin has been unusually dry recently, possibly due to it being Winter, so I've felt a rescue is in order so this blend came at the perfect time.Pros:• Lightweight texture that goes a long way• Lovely natural scent with hints of witch hazel and bergamot• One pump is easily enough for my whole face• Natural, beneficial ingredientsCons:• Can't see a complete ingredients list• My skin went through a two-week adjustment periodFirst Impressions:I'll admit I hadn't heard of Scottish Botanicals before, but their small, premium range is intriguing and when I did my research they seem like a good brand to trust in.It comes in a solid push-top bottle with a lid. The packaging feels elegant in its simplicity, though I am very frustrated not to find a full ingredients list as it's important for people with skin sensitivities to know this.In Use:I've fallen for the silky texture of this serum. It glides onto my skin beautifully and absorbs without any stickiness, and seems to give a nice "protective" nourishing layer in the cold weather this time of year. The natural fragrance is subtle but luxurious, and there's a mix of it feeling moisturising to it being refreshing and cooling too.Importantly, a little goes a long way, so I find less than a whole pump will be enough for my whole face and some of my neck, and using it day and night for a month doesn't seem to have reduced it dramatically.Effectiveness:I have quite sensitive skin, and I wasn't super surprised that my skin did break out for the first couple of weeks during use - that purging phase was a bit nerve-wracking and I almost stopped, but I'm glad I stuck with it. It's possibly the witch hazel that did this.A month in, my skin feels more balanced and hydrated. It still has its oiliness but it seems to be much healthier than it has been for a long time, especially in the dryness of the winter.Verdict:While I'm genuinely impressed with how this serum performs, I'm torn about the price tag. Yes, it's lovely to use and gives good results, but it's definitely a luxury purchase. If you can afford it and aren't particular about checking specific ingredients, it's a stunning product. For me though, I'll need to see how long it lasts before committing for this to be a regular part of my routine.

Effective serum

I really like this serum, just the tiniest amount seems to work wonders for my tired, old, winter complexion. I've been using it for about a month and really like it

Absorbs fast and makes my skin less red

I hadn't heard of Scottish Botanicals, or Diana Drummond, but a little Googling reveals the brand to be well regarded, and that they have been around since the early 1980's. Vegan friendly, and well presented, the lotion smells lovely, very fresh and clean, and the pump dispenser issues only a small amount, so there is no waste. I have sensitive skin, and found no problems with irritation. In fact, I think the moisturiser helped my redness. It absorbs very quickly, and leaves no residue. My skin felt more firm and suppleafter only a few days of use. It is great to support a Sottosh, ethical brand too.
